Tom’s memoir, Global Nomad, was published by Washington State University Press. The book describes Tom’s life as an international athlete as well as his decades traveling the world as a disability advocate.

Tom spent much of 2023-24 traveling the world to promote his book. He did talks in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Portland Oregon, Corvallis Oregon, Chicago Illinois, Cartagena Colombia, Les Avenières France, Nishinomiya Japan, Osaka Japan, Kathmandu Nepal, Cape Town South Africa, Pretoria South Africa, and Yaoundé Cameroon.

The book was the No. 1 seller for Washington State University Press.
